IRVINE, CA, June 19, 2012 – ClinDatrix, Inc. announced today that two members of its executive team – Louise M. Murphy, PhD, MBA, and Ned Whittemore, PhD – have earned their Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certifications from the American Society for Quality (ASQ). The
certification, which requires intensive training and successful completion of a rigorous exam, denotes comprehension and proficiency in quality auditing principles and practices.
Murphy is president, CEO and co-founder of ClinDatrix, a clinical research organization (CRO). She said that quality auditing practices and skills are critical to the company’s operations. “ClinDatrix services are based on sound quality principles, which is what accounts for the company’s consistent growing success,” she said.
“We follow strict procedures to comply with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Good Clinical Practice guidelines and similar requirements established by other regulators,” Murphy added. “By mastering the auditing process, we can ensure that our own systems and procedures are working the way we intended and address any deficiencies that might otherwise be identified by an FDA, other regulatory agency, or client audit.”
Whittemore, ClinDatrix’s director of regulatory affairs, said, “The ClinDatrix organization was founded on a solid base of quality techniques and practices, and one of our core philosophies is continuous improvement. The training required to earn the ASQ CQA certification was very extensive, and has added a great depth to our knowledge of quality theories and practices. This knowledge will allow us to continue to perfect our internal quality assurance systems – and to increase consistency and clarity into our procedures for the benefit of our clients.”
