Brian G. Murphy, BEng, PhD has over thirty-five years experience in Research, Engineering Product Development and Engineering Systems Management. He has design and development experience with a wide range of electronic and mechanical technologies using expert theoretical and mathematical approaches. He merges these skills with a philosophy that takes full responsibility for product success, from concept to the market. This necessarily includes a strong emphasis on developing product manufacturability and strategies for structured engineering processes, successful manufacturing operations and teamwork with all non-engineering departments.

Dr. Murphy has returned many products to profitability after initial introduction resulted in disappointing performance or lack of reliability and manufacturability. He demands a strict discipline with documentation systems, rebuilding them when necessary to establish product development protocols with staged design reviews and design validation on pilot production units to build a solid base for successful operations and to establish compliance with regulatory agencies. He is very proficient at project management, develops realistic product development schedules and can help you with your engineering management, market research, and technology assessment needs.

Dr. Murphy holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (electronics and communications option), a Masters in Experimental Medicine and a Ph.D. in Physiology. He has authored or co-authored 23 scientific publications. Besides developing and launching 16 products into production for various high technology companies in Southern California, he consults extensively in the areas of medical technology, program management and patent analysis and litigation. He also has a working knowledge of French and is fluent in Spanish.
